CBSi implemented Navision for accounting and provided management ability to analyze revenue and profitability by numerous criteria including region, product type, manager, tower site, property owner, etc.

During beginning phases of another vendor's $600K software & integration of industry specific internet billing software, client realized the software wasn't as flexible as CBSi / Navision’s capabilities and pulled the plug on the $600K - allowing CBSi/ Navision to meet these needs.

Additionally, the power of the CBSi / Navision combination helped render a future move to Oracle unnecessary.

Internet based tenant screening service prospers through "private label billing" made with CBSi / Navision:

  • Company met CBSi at time with 500 active accounts and 28,000 monthly transactions being billed with specific billing formats required by customers that were so unique, they had to be generated in Excel by a team of people. 
    CBSi replaced their accounting system & designed a flexible billing system to automate this "private label billing" process and provide executive management the ability to confidently design product to meet unique customer needs, knowing their billing system could deliver. 

    Enabled company to land large accounts and keep them. 

    Over 50,000 monthly web-based transactions automatically billed by Microsoft Navision software. 

    6 days of billing reduced to only 1 day. Revenues doubled with reduction in billing personnel.

Handheld Pocket PC .Net application for field:
Stone distributor with inventory located outside and across several buildings needed upgraded accounting and ability to process transactions outdoors without a PC.

CBSi trained and assisted client with implementation of Navision software and created real-time Pocket PC .Net application for wireless users in the yard.

Application provided read/write to MS SQL database for: 

  • Purchase Order Receiving, 
  • Consumption of Jobs, 
  • Physical Inventory.

Each individual stone is tracked by unique serial number.

  • Company owns almost 30 separate corporations, many with their own accounting / financial system.
  • Separate companies reporting at corporate level and consolidations were tedious and time consuming.
  • CBSi provided implementation, training and conversion assistance resulting in streamlined reporting via Microsoft Navision.
  • Numerous accounting software packages were replaced including Solomon IV, Cyma, Peachtree, and others.

  • This successful service and distribution company had grown with use of customized, home-grown application but system needed integration with accounting, and concern arose that continuing its development through the company's rapid growth would draw resources away from core business. 
  • Initially replaced Service Order Management System. Success led to replacement of accounting system and integration.
  • CBSi performed various modifications including integration with Nextel phones which can send and receive messages to the phone via Outlook and then automatically update the Navision Service Orders.

Trucking dispatch system for concrete processor:

  • This successful concrete processor outgrew its accounting system and its Excel-based dispatch and billing system.
  • CBSi developed dispatch tables and functionality to automate the dispatch and billing process.
  • Functionality included splitting shipments among different size, truck load capacity, and billing by delivery zones, weights and trucker. 
  • Automated Accounts Payable by processing contract truckers' trips and loads from Sales Invoices.
